Emmanuel Mbemba (18) has joined Paris FC from cross-city rivals Paris Saint-Germain, it has been confirmed.
Mbemba, the captain of PSG’s U18s team, had a contract offer on the table. It would have been a first professional contract with his formative club. However, the centre-back favoured a departure from the Parc des Princes.
Four-year deal for Mbemba at Paris FC
The France U18 international (eight caps) had been the subject of an approach from Arsenal, who had presented their project to the player, was also strongly linked with a move down south to AS Monaco. However, he will make the very short trip from the Parc des Princes to the Stade Jean Bouin.
It is a first professional contract for Mbemba, who has signed with Paris FC until the summer of 2030. It is a blow for PSG, who had hoped to tie the promising centre-back to a first professional contract.
